It is an honor to be the first President of Chicago Metro Pickleball. With this job comes the responsibility of creating a platform for the current and future success of our wonderful new organization.
We are excited about the "Chicago Pickleball Open." Our intention is to bring you an annual world-class tournament that strives to become one of the major “must attend “ tournaments on the summer circuit.
A team of Who’s Who in Chicagoland Pickleball has joined forces to make this one of the great Pickleball regions in the world. It is humbling to serve with such an incredibly dedicated, committed and talented group of people.
We are looking forward to meeting you in July at the "Chicago Pickleball Open."

The Chicago Pickleball Open will hold a "Dunk for Kids Schools" fundraiser, presented by Gamma, to support bringing pickleball equipment and supplies into the local schools in Naperville and surrounding communities. An hourly schedule of various professional players, local celebrities and pickleball enthusiasts will take the "seat" for those wishing to DUNK them for our fundraising drive.
Come get ready for this year's Chicago Open by attending the official "Chicago Open Boot Camp." Even if your not playing in the Open, we will cover several themes to improve your game. Co-Directed by Ken Herrmann and Gene Smyth, players will be placed on court based on ability for the 2 hour boot camp. Heavy emphasis will be focused on technical and strategical strategies to improve one's game. Players will rotate courts and spend time with each pro evenly during each camp. Themes to be covered:
🔹 "HOW TO GET MORE DEPTH ON SERVE"
🔹 SLICING THE RETURN AND COMING IN
🔹 HOW TO TECHNICALLY HIT A BETTER 3rd SHOT DROP
🔹 STAYING IN THE PATTERN
🔹 REFLEX VOLLEYS
